Making it very important that we adhere to our repair procedures, so the end results lead us to exceptional customer satisfaction.
Receiving
Every spindle that arrives for repair is logged in when it is received. This paperwork will follow your spindle through each step of the repair process, so that we can track the progress of your spindle.
Disassembly
Expert technicians carefully disassemble your spindle, paying close attention for signs of what caused the apparent failure.
Inspection
Our technicians thoroughly inspect each component at disassembly.
Machining
After a thorough inspection, we decide which components need to be machined, plated, or newly manufactured. We strive to restore your spindle back to OEM specifications and seek the most cost effective machining procedures.
Assembly
All components are checked for accuracy before assembly. Expert technicians, using precision bearings and lubricants applicable to your spindles operating conditions, assemble your spindle in a clean environment.
Grinding
All I.D. tapers are ground as assemblies to .0001 or better on their own bearings. If necessary O.D. tapers receive the same.
Testing
After complete assembly, your spindle will be brought up to its operating speed in our testing area. At full speed, we will monitor bearing temperature and analyze overall vibration. After a complete test run all critical runouts will be measured. All this to ensure that your spindle meets or exceeds original manufacturer's specifications.
Balancing
Balancing your spindle is vital to spindle longevity, bearing life, and the overall performance you wish to achieve. Correcting an imbalance problem requires removing or adding weight from the assembled spindle or its components. Proper balancing will improve a spindles performance and extend the life of the bearings. Using the very latest in high tech computer controlled balancing equipment; our technicians begin the balancing process. First, the individual rotating parts are balanced, the spindle is assembled, and then the complete unit is checked for balance. Our technicians balance all spindles to better than 10mg/in upon final balance.
Shipping
Our high standards of quality control are maintained even throughout the shipping process.
